Background To ARISE

The first ARISE! EVENT was held in Singapore in 2002. ARISE! was started in obedience to a vision God placed in my heart. I pray that you too, will catch this vision and be a part of Arise! in one way or another....Over the years, the Lord has crystallized the vision of ARISE! - it is about raising children who have a heart of worship-and out of their worship flows the song, the dance, prayer and mission...they will be a part of Isa 61:11.

The ARISE! planning, teaching, worship and execution team is made up entirely of like-minded individual volunteers and partners who have the same vision and passion.

It has been a blessing to work with all of them over the years and we thank God for all these 'God-connections'....

Since 2010, ARISE! has gone under the umbrella of the Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore (EFOS).

How ARISE! Started - A Personal Testimony

At the beginning of 2000, I started to ask God what His will was for me.
Around April, I was driving along Nichol Highway and praying when, I had a picture of children, many children, running forward; hands outstretched and praising God. I knew in my heart that He was answering me. I asked for a confirmation if this was what He wanted to bring about. In June, we had our church camp. I continued to ask God for a confirmation; for three days I asked for a word....

Beverly Mortlock, our speaker's wife gave me a word- she saw what looked like an egg that God had given me and it was "a task” that “you are to bring it to birth" – she said a whole lot more and everything was specific to the “task.” She did not know of this burden and had no idea I was asking for an answer.

Thank God for this vision & His confirmation!
